We have been family-owned and operated since 1985. Jim Kleinschmidt started the company in 1985 with his wife, Sherry and son, Kevin. In 2017, long-time employee, Jayme Gottsch became a partner of the company as well.

What started as a small home-based business has grown into a thriving company with several dedicated and talented employees. We are proud members of the Mid-Minnesota Builders Association, National Association of Home Builders, Better Business Bureau and a Home Advisor Top-Rated Elite Service Provider.

TJ Specialty Construction is involved with our community by contributing to local charities, sponsoring local events, and supporting local subcontractors and businesses.Together, our team has constructed a wide variety of projects through the years, often hearing that we have fulfilled our goal to exceed our clients' expectations.
